The girls have notebooks for autographs and when they get to the studio, they are introduced to the staff and asked if they want to meet the star of the movie. With their pens and notebooks ready they make their way through the set to find that the star of the movie is none other than the most famous cat in Hollywood, Fluffington. Everyone knows Fluffington from the cat food commercials and now she is going to make her movie debut in The Aliens Next Door.
On their tour of the set, the girls get the misfortune of meeting the director’s son. He’s supposed to be practicing his short lines for the movie. His dad gave him a role in the movie in hopes that he would stay out of trouble if he had something to do. The quickly find that this not the case when Fluffington is found covered in blue paint thanks to Beezil. This boy is nothing but trouble for everyone on the set.
They also meet Carson, who is the CGI (computer generated imaging) for the movie. He shows the girls how he makes computer images of the animals in the movie for the stunts so the real ones don’t get hurt. Carson has been trying to convince everyone to drop the pet actors and leave it all up to his skills for the movie. He thinks animals are way too unpredictable. Carson proves everyone right when it’s time to shoot the next scene with Fluffington and they can’t find her. She has gone missing and no one has seen her since her last meal time. The girls ask for permission to try and solve the case and see if they can’t find her. Will the girls be able to solve the case so the show can go on?
