Ordered special for the play are beautiful glass looking slippers for Cinderella to wear. They came in from France and the kids must be very careful with them. If anything happens to them, there is no way the studio would be able to order another pair in time for the show. On the day of the final dress rehearsal, our new Cinderella cannot find the glass slippers. The costume designer swears that she left them in the storage closet. The box is still wear she left it, but the slippers are gone without a trace.
Nancy and The Clue Crew need to get to work. There isn’t a whole lot of time before opening night and Cinderella can’t go on stage without her signature glass slippers. But who could have taken them? There were a couple girls that were jealous of the understudy taking over the role. They thought that it wasn’t’ fair because they were a star. Then there is also a boy named Gregory that is part of the play. He is supposed to be playing the prince but tends to spend most of his time playing pranks on the girls instead. Maybe he took the slippers as part of a prank and it all went wrong somehow.
Whatever the case may be Nancy, Bess and George need to start working their case quickly and gathering the clues that will solve this mystery. The only problem is, is that there is very little time to do it in. The Clue Crew is off to the storage closet where the slippers were seen last to take a look around and what may have been left behind by the potential thief. In the mean time, Mr. McGuire is trying to get another order in on rush delivery before the show, but there is no guarantee that the slippers will get there in time. Will the slippers find their way to the show?
