Pony Pals: Keep Out Pony!

The weather has been horrible for almost a week in the small town of Wiggins. The Pony Pals are relieved when the rain finally lets up enough for them to meet up on Pony Pal Trail for a much needed and missed trail ride. Pam Crandal leaves her house with her pony, Lightning to meet up with her friends but is stopped dead with a new fence and sheep blocking her path. In Pony Pals: Keep Out, Pony! By Jeanne Betancourt, the girls fear that they have lost their Pony Pal Trail for good and their trail rides are over.

The new neighbors, the Stewarts, have bought the property that is right in the middle of their trail. To make things worse, the Stewarts aren’t very nice to the girls and tell them that they are not allowed on their property at all and if they catch them there they will be in big trouble. The girls are so upset over the situation they must find a way to make the Stewarts like them so they can continue to use their trail. But what can they do? The girls decide to meet at the diner to come up with a plan.

As always, each girl comes up with an idea but before they can even sit down to talk about what they came up with, they run into Mrs. Stewart. In a panic, Pam tells Mrs. Stewart that she is so glad to have run into her and tells her that she is inviting her and her husband to a tea party. Pam is flying by the seat of her pants because Pam and the girls never discussed a party of any sort and Pam hasn’t even asked her mom if she could have a party. Now Pam has to find a way to put it all together because Mrs. Stewart says that her and her husband would be pleased to attend and get to know their neighbors.

The girls get permission for the party and almost everyone they invited can attend. Pam is worried that if the party doesn’t go well that they will lose all hope for ever being able to use Pony Pal Trail with her friends ever again. The girls even make a cake for the party in the shape of a lamb. They can’t lose their trail and there must be a way to get Mrs. Stewart and her husband to like them enough to work something out.
