The Pony Pals are excited and have their fingers crossed that Anna will get to be a star with her pony Acorn. In the little town of Wiggins, a casting call has been posted for a play and they need both the leading lady and horse role filled. The girls and the town have both seen Acorn in star action in the past and know that the role is his for sure. Now it’s Anna’s chance to show her stuff in “Magic Pony” by Jeanne Betancourt. Anna would love nothing more than to be in the play with her pony, Acorn.
In Acorn’s last star adventure, Anna was so proud of her pony. After all, he was cast in a real movie, but Anna found herself getting jealous. She could see that Acorn really liked the girl that he was working with and worried that maybe Acorn liked her better. Anna didn’t like feeling like that and doesn’t want to feel like that again. Plus she really thinks that it would be fun to be in a show with her pony this time. But Anna soon finds out that her pony doesn’t get the part in the play. Instead, Snow White does.
Things just aren’t going as they were planned to and Anna can’t seem to get her lines in the play memorized. The director is starting to lose his patience with Anna and reminds her that her understudy has already gotten them down and it doesn’t make her look good. Rema said from the very beginning that she was going to have the leading role in the play but ever since she was cast as the understudy, she has been overly nice to Anna and the rest of the Pony Pals. Anna thinks that Rema has changed and really wants to help her do well but her friends think otherwise and try to convince her of that.
One thing after another seems to go wrong with the play and the only reason why Anna wanted to be in the play in the first place was because she wanted to do it with Acorn. Acorn didn’t even get cast in the play so why is she still doing this. Besides, Rema already knows all the lines and Snow White seems to like her better. Anna saw the two of them working together on set. Can the Pony Pals fix this one and get Anna to have her chance in the spot light?
