We were so happy that we were able to find at least a couple more Jewel Fairies books at the library on our last visit. They seem to be in short supply or very popular in our area. This time we were able to find the first book in the Jewel Fairies series “India the Moonstone Fairy” by Daisy Meadows. In this story the girls are taken to Fairy Land where they are asked by the King and Queen for help. Jack Frost has been up to no good and this time he has taken all the magic stones from the Queen’s crown.
Each one of those stones is the source of magical power regeneration for the fairies in Fairy Land. Once a year, they hold a very special celebration and during it, they all recharge their power. The fairies are going to need the girls’ help because their powers are already running very low. The huge celebration is only right around the corner. To make things more complicated for the fairies, Jack Frost didn’t realize just how powerful the magic stones are causing him to throw a tantrum while he watched his ice castle melt from the power of the stones.
In a furry, Jack Frost threw the stones into the human world and sent his nasty goblins with them to watch over the stones and protect them. If Jack Frost can’t have the magical stones, then no one can and he’ll do anything he can to make sure of it. When the girls go home, the first gem they find is India’s gem. Her gem is a very powerful gem and gives India the power to control dreams magic. The girls know that it must be close to where they are because they are having very strong sweet dreams.
Time is running out for all of the fairies of Fairy Land and the girls must work quickly to get all seven jewels back. But when they find India’s gem, it’s attached to a baby mobile and have to figure out how to get it. Not only that, but their worry of Jack Frost’s goblins being nearby quickly becomes a problem for them too. The girls need to do some quick thinking on how to out whit the nasty ghouls and help India get her Moonstone safely back to Fairy Land where it belongs while not letting anyone else in on what they are doing.
