The Bailey School Kids: Pirates Don't Wear Pink Sunglasses

In The Adventures of The Bailey School Kids: Pirates Don’t Wear Pink Sunglasses, the kids are going on a week-long nature trip. Every year the nature camp ends with a rowing competition with the kids from a nearby Sheldon City. The Bailey Kids have never won a competition against the others but this year may be different. The camp they go to is falling apart and losing money so who knows how much longer the camp will be running but the regular grounds keeper has a new volunteer, Teach, to help out and he seems to be just as strange, if not stranger, than the grounds keeper, Mr. Jenkins, himself.

Teach is a very strange fellow. Dressed in pirate garb, a parrot on his shoulder and referring the kids as “scallywags,” the only thing that sets him apart from pirates long ago is his giant pink sunglasses. He knows a lot about boats and he has no problem working the kids to the bone to get the job done. The Bailey School Kids think that even though he’s a bit strange, they may have a chance to win the race at the end of the week. But things start to take a turn and Teach’s intentions may not be what they seem. He is very interested in treasure and it seems he may be training his new crew to do his dirty work for him.

On a mission to find out if Teach is in fact a pirate, they find their way to his room to get a look. When they knock on the door, no one answers but the door opens a bit. They all decide to go in. The only one there is Teach’s loud mouth bird, Jack. Not knowing how much time they have, they take a look around quickly and discover a treasure map. Teach has Molly the Red’s treasure map and the drawing on it is of their camp, Camp Lone Wolf. Teach isn’t there to help them win the boat competition, he’s there to find Molly’s buried treasure!

With their week-long trip coming to an end, they must find out if the treasure map is the real deal and if Teach really is a pirate. All Teach can talk about is treasure this and treasure that and his loud mouth bird, Jack won’t stop talking about Molly’s treasure since he witnessed the kids taking it. Now they have to keep Teach off their trail and find the treasure before he does.
