Auntie Clause by Elise Primavera begins her story in New York where you'll find Christmas year around with the Kringle family. They aren't related to Santa, but they love everything Christmas and celebrate all year around. The Kringle family had two very spoiled children who had everything any child could ever want but it was never enough. The Kringle children were much too spoiled and despite their family loving Christmas, they failed to see what Christmas was really about.

Sophie, the eldest of the two children received lessons in all that is Christmas each and everyday during tea with her Auntie Clause. No one loved Christmas more than her Auntie Clause. Every tea time was a new subject in the season and she always ended the lesson with a reminder to Sophie about her number one rule no matter what the occasion, a birthday, Halloween or what have you, it is always better to give than to receive!

To others, Auntie Clause was just another eccentric New Yorker. But Sophie new that Auntie Clause was hiding something. She wore a very beautiful key around her neck that she claimed was just costume jewelry. Each year Auntie Clause would disappear before Christmas and not come back till Valentine's Day.  She claimed she was on her annual business trip. Out of curiosity, Sophie was compelled to ask her just where was she going and what was her business? Auntie Clause simply replied by telling Sophie that it's for her to know and for Sophie to find out. Sophie intends to do just that this time around. She knows Auntie Clause is keeping a much bigger secret than she lets on and her curiosity is beginning to get the best of her.

Sophie tells her parents that Auntie Clause is taking her on her business trip so they don't worry about her. Then she sneaks into her Auntie's apartment and hides in her baggage. She can see Auntie Clause taking the key from around her neck and using it to run a hidden, secret elevator in the room. Auntie gets all of her belongings into the large elevator and then they are off. Sophie soon realizes that they are some place she never dreamed she would ever see. Auntie Clause has brought her to the North Pole and the first to greet her is an elf who is a stickler about rules.

Follow Sophie on her adventure with Auntie Clause to the North Pole where she will learn how to be unselfish and what it truly means when her Auntie says that it is always far better to give than to receive especially when she ends up getting her hands on the nice and naughty list. She has fortunately made the nice list, but her brother wasn’t so lucky. If she doesn’t find a way to fix it, her little brother will be heart broken Christmas morning. Sophie gets the inside scoop on it all since she must pose as a new elf in training so she doesn't get caught.
